Celtic Trail

The Celtic Trail in Šentilj is a recreational and thematic trail, which combines archaeological heritage and relaxation on energy points.

The path leads through the area prehistoric settlements above the River Mura, where evidence of settlement from the Iron Age onwards was found.
In this area (mainly at the Novine and Gradišče locations) there are ancient tumuli, which bear witness to the lives and customs of the inhabitants at that time, including the Celts.

The path is equipped with boards that explain historical facts about the Celts and archaeological finds to visitors.

Energy springs are also on the way. At certain points (especially in the Bold forest and at Gradišče), dowsers measured strong terrestrial radiation, which is said to have a beneficial effect on well-being and health.

The starting point for the trail is usually in the centre of Šentilj (in front of the municipal building) or at the scout centre in the Bold forest.
