Takrat so v bli\u017eini gradu Trate, na desni strani reke Mure na Einsiedelbergu leta 1689 zgradili majhno cerkvico, imenovano Marija Sne\u017ena. V njej so prebivali menihi pu\u0161\u010davniki &#8211; eremiti. Cerkev so v dobi jo\u017eefinskih reform leta 1788 podrli in nato v letih 1789 &#8211; 1791 zgradili novo cerkev na Zgornji Velki. Za njeno gradnjo so Vel\u010dani uporabili ves material poru\u0161ene cerkve na Einsiedelbergu. Vsa dela je vodil takratni kaplan pri Mariji Sne\u017eni Matija Purgaj, ki je v njej 8. decembra leta 1789 imel tudi prvo ma\u0161o.<\/p><p>Cerkev je enoladijska s kvadratnim zvonikom. Ob vzhodni fasadi je razpelo s Kri\u017eanim. Notranj\u0161\u010dina je obokana, ob ladji so kapele. Oprema cerkve je baro\u010dna. Glavni oltar in pri\u017enica sta delo Jo\u017eefa Holzingerja, nekaj plastik je izdelal radgonski kipar Janez Klein. <strong>Cerkev je bila neko\u010d znamenita bo\u017eja pot, ki pa se tudi danes vse bolj uveljavlja<\/strong>.<\/p><p><strong>Leta 2009 je bila razgla\u0161ena za romarsko pot.<\/strong> Ob cerkvi je obnovljen vodnjak, na katerem <strong>lahko preberemo verze Toneta Kuntnerja<\/strong>: &#8220;<em>Ne bo\u0161 od\u0161el la\u010den, ne bo\u0161 od\u0161el \u017eejen, \u010dlovek popotni z Marije Sne\u017ene.
